Amira Al-Jamal

Amira is the founder and president of the Our Step Society for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and their Families. Born in 1972, she is an activist in the field of the rights of persons with disabilities

Amira is an active member of several committees, namely the National Technical Committee for Mental Health, which is affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Health; a member of the National Coalition working on the civil society report on the implementation of the rights of persons with disabilities in Jordan in 2012; a member of the regional consultation for preparing the regional plan for mental health in Cairo; a member of the national team for defending the rights of persons with disabilities in Jordan, affiliated with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and a member of the local health committee for mother and child of the Child Protection Organization
