Iman studied Special Education at the University of Jordan, then earned a Master's degree in Educational Technology. She is a member of the World Federation of the Deaf in the Arab Region, a board member of the Jordanian Association for the Deaf, and the Vice President of the Jordanian Women's Association for the Deaf. Currently, she works as a teacher for the deaf-blind at the Holy Land Institute for the Deaf and Deafblind. Iman also worked on developing an educational program (dictionary) for Arabic Sign Language based on the recommendations of the Arab Federation for the Deaf, in addition to developing several computer programs in Sign language
