Born on March 3rd, 1986, in Amman, Rawan holds a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Jordan in 2008. She began volunteering in 1997 at the age of 11, represented Jordan in a number of international and Arab conferences, and currently works as a director at the Raneen Foundation. She has received the King Abdullah II Award for Youth Achievement and Creativity in 2009, the Synergos Award for Social Innovation in 2011, the Ashoka Fellowship in 2013, the Hussein Medal for Distinguished Giving in 2015, and the "Takreem" Award for Innovation in Education. Rawan is an activist in the field of the rights of persons with disabilities and a social change agent
