Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission Hosts Training on Inclusive Air Travel Services for Persons with Disabilities

As part of Jordan’s national commitments stemming from the Global Disability Summit 2025, and in line with the Economic Modernization Vision (2026–2029), the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC), with the participation of staff members, airport representatives, and national airlines, organized a specialized training program on the rights of persons with disabilities under the title “Inclusive Air Travel Services for Persons with Disabilities.”

The program was delivered in cooperation with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), reflecting the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening partnership and advancing initiatives that enable persons with disabilities to enjoy safe, dignified, and inclusive travel experiences.

This initiative builds on the close and ongoing cooperation between CARC and HCD across multiple areas, including the amendment of aviation-related legislation to guarantee the rights of persons with disabilities to access air transport services. It also demonstrates CARC’s adherence to Article (36) of the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which explicitly mandates the training of air transport personnel in effective communication etiquette with persons with disabilities.

Looking ahead, CARC will play a pivotal role in follow-up and oversight mechanisms with airlines and relevant stakeholders to ensure the continuous promotion and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities to access safe and inclusive air travel services.
