Global Disability Summit 2025

The Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities launched an awareness campaign for the Global Disability Summit 2025 to be held in Berlin next April, which will be hosted by Jordan, Germany and the International Disability Alliance. The campaign was announced by lighting up the archaeological site of the Citadel of Amman, which is one of the most important archaeological and tourist sites in Amman, in yellow and dark blue colors, symbolizing the contrast of colors as a means of accessibility for people with low vision. the Amman Citadel site was chosen because the process of preparing the site for people with disabilities was completed.

The campaign, which is launched under the slogan “Without Us you Can’t”, aims to promote the themes and objectives of the Global Disability Summit, and the mechanisms for delivering its commitments, by launching a set of awareness messages. The campaign relies on promoting these messages through social media platforms using various awareness tools and materials in creative ways and accessible formats for persons with disabilities, and targets countries from the region and a number of selected countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
