MoU between the HCD and the Development and Employment Fund


The Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Development and Employment Fund as part of bilateral efforts to implement the provisions of the new Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and improve the status of implementation at the level of disability policies, plans and programs.


The signing of the memorandum is in line with the provisions of the Law on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities No. 20 for the Year2017 concerning the adoption of measures to ensure that persons with disabilities have access to the Fund's services on an equal basis with others by providing information on the Fund's programs and services in accessible formats, with the provision of incentives and incentives to encourage persons with disabilities to benefit from such projects and programs, as well as to grant concessions to fund funded entrepreneurs when persons with disabilities are employed in such projects.


HCD Secretary-General Muhannad Al Azzeh affirmed the Council’s overall commitment to provide the necessary technical support and training to the Fund's staff in relation to the rights of persons with disabilities and the etiquette of communicating with them, and to identify accommodations, accessibility forms and accessibility that enable persons with disabilities to work or manage projects.
