Launch of Training Program Activities on the Etiquette of Communication with People with Disabilities


The activities of the training program “Etiquette” for communicating with persons with disabilities was held today by the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in coordination with a number of government and private institutions and authorities.


The training program aims to familiarize participants with the etiquette of effective communication with persons with disabilities. It also aims to raise awareness on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Law No. (20) of 2017 and the articles related to each ministry and institution.


The training workshops target 195 participants from the staff working at the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, the First Jordanian Association of Sign Language Interpreters, the Ministry of Health and the Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation over 8 training workshops and through a specialized workshop for a number of children under the age of 16.
